After a family holiday away last week this week has been a bit hectic catching up with washing, cleaning and getting back into the school routine. Art activities have been a little basic this week so on a sunny winters morning we opted for a spot of water painting.
We usually paint with water on the back fence but this week we have been using the chalk board instead - sometimes with chalk but mostly just water on its own. Water painting is the best summer activity. It's easy, cool, and open-ended! We did something similar last month! I like that you used the black chalkboard. Great variation!

We love this, too. In fact, as I wrote about it the other day, I set up something for my 4 yo DD and showed how to paint the walls to my toddler. 4 yo couldn't care less and preferred water painting :)
