It always amazes me just how long my boys spend playing in their sandpit.
It is underneath their cubby house so it stays nice and shady in summer and relatively dry in winter so it gets used almost every day.
Junior loves to create sandcastles, race tracks, rivers (he is very keen on introducing vegetation and water but gets disappointed that the water disappears so quickly) and mountains.
Bub just loves to dig, dig, dig ... and dig some more. What have your kids been playing with this week? “Come over and play at the Childhood 101 We Play link up”

Something about sand just draws kids in, doesn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with boys & sand pits? My 2 are the same - and they're 6 & 8!!!
ReplyDeleteYour sand pit looks like a lot of fun.
How fun! I love letting my kids enjoy playing the dirt, sand, trees, whatever suits their mood. Nature play is highly underrated! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great sandpit. There's always so much fun to be had digging and playing in sand.
ReplyDeleteYour sandpit looks amazing! We recently just had an outbreak of furry mould in our enclosed sandpit after discovering Miss Mimi had been hoarding gum nuts in there!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great sandpit. And aren't those huge dump trucks great.
ReplyDeleteSandplay never get s old at our place either! xo m.
ReplyDeleteYour sandpit looks lovely. Sand is so versatile, I think that's part of the appeal. The play can vary so much depending on the play materials provided
ReplyDeleteGreat that your sandpit is undercover, for sand play all year round.
